Sorry honey, I'm so busy with the HOUSE and stuff that I could not update the page. You're growing day by day now. As of today 22 Dec 1999, you should be 1 pound. You're kicking many times a day. Mom and Dad felt that very often. You might wonder how do Dad know? Ask Your Mom? She screamt every time you pulled THE string.
Dad, Mom and You went shopping, seeing GrandMa, movie. You loved to be in the convertible, open air, flashy, speedy... If you didn't want, your Mom will be the first to say it, uh huh?
By the way Dad made for you a web page, cool!
Jan 04 2000, Happy New Year, our sweet little girl. You are now in week 25th. Fifteen more week to go. This morning, you gave Mom a warning about "bung do nang". Mom cried in pain. Do you notice a gap in time. That's skiing reunion for Dad's siblings. Dad and all of your uncles went skiing in Colorado from 12/22 till 12/29. Mom and you went to your BaNgoai to pick Noel gift. Do you have any slightest idea about the gift you got? The day Dad came home, Mom showed a bed full of your pinkish clothes!!! (Mau Ngua)
Yesterday, uncle Alpha and Dad went skiing at Snow Summit. About Noon, too boring we raced down the slope of chair 10 and collided with each other. Both airborned a few dozen feet. Luckily, no serious thing happened, though.
Week 26, 01/10/2000 You and Mom kept talking with each other. Mom wanted to use the bath tub with warm water and bubble bath, you did not. So Mom started talking with you insisting on a little bit warmer water. Your reaction was pulling and pushing so Mom had to give up. Silly both 2 Me Con. Sometimes at night, Mom woke up sreaming 'cause you did something that really hurts Mom.
One night, Mom started the conversation of Que sera, sera? What are you look like? Mom wanted your eyes reflects Mom's. The mouth is copyright of Mom's family. Really surprised if you have a different mouth look. Body and leg should be from Dad, but "Ti Bu" from Mom. Nose from Dad, Hair from Dad etc. Que Sera Sera!
Thursday 1/13/2000, You and Mom went see Dr. Beaumont. Both of you and Mom now weighed 121 lbs, a gain of 18 lbs per 6 months. For the next 3 months, Mom and you should gain 8-12 lbs more. Next visit, Mom will have gestational diabetes test. Better behave! Mom started to feel numb in her left fingers and left foot. At the end of the day, both side of hands, arms, feet felt the effect.
Friday 01/14/2000 will be the close of escrow day. Last 2 nights, Mom , you and Dad went shopping and spent 3 grand for a Fridge and a King Bed !!! We also need a Gas dryer. You behaved well as long as Dad got you out in Dad's car! What a girl!
Friday, Jan 14, 2000 Close of Escrow. We're moving. You and Mom were gonna busy go up and down the stair. Everytime, Mom tried to carry a heavy stuff, you have to remind her about you, OK. Dad really worried about Mom 'lang xang'.
Saturday, Jan 15, MOVING DAY. Uncles Alpha and Top helped to move. We rented a 14' truck from 9 to 6pm. Only 2 short trips cleared the apartment, and 1 more trip from Alpha's house to get plants and books. Very clean. Then the next day the big family went out to have dimsum at Jasmine. On the way back, Dad bought many torchiers and a book case for GrandBa.
Week 27, 01/17/2000 Hello Darling, Mom and Dad and You were VERY VERY BUSY moving last week. The house is huge compared to our little apartment.
Tuesday, we all went out to order a top of the line Whirlpool Gas Dryer to be delivered next morning.
Everynight, we went shopping and Mom farted incessantly !!! Mom blamed it to you, is it true?
Sat Jan 22, GrandBa and Dad went out and bought another book case, and assembled it. Then we bought 2 pieces of flying carpets to put in front of the fireplace. That night we host the first honor guests Great Grant Aunt, and Grand Uncle Van's family. See the pictures here What 's a busy day and night.
Week 28, 01/24/2000 We missed a class (prep for preg). Had to make up later sometime in March
Week 29, 01/31/2000 Yesterday, We and aunt Hong went shopping at Lake Elsinore outlet. Dad spent more money for 2 phones and stainless steel stove covers, Mom bought bed sheets for you and more fragance candles. Mom's so hungry that she stuffed herself. Then you pushed back to her stomach. Therefore, Mom was lying down and 'ren hu hu' of her 'mang u'. Dad had to rub some medicated oil on top of you. Poor No.
Monday, we attended the class and slept half the time ! Ha Ha
02/03/00 uncles Top and Beta came home for the New Year. We have a full house but Aunt Mimi. We ate, drank, talked, listened to the music, and joked around. Mom had to drag you all along for the Tet festival. Went see dr. Kirman but had to see Dr. Beaumont instead. Mom and you weighed 121 lbs.
Week 30, 02/07/2000 Happy Tet con Rong doc than (Canh Thin) Our little family will have 100% dragon. 'Cause GreatGrandMa stayed with us, many relative came to see her during Tet festival. Very crowded, but fun. Everybody said that the house is so beautiful, what do you think? Last night, Dad want to call you Gail 'cause No might not fit your presumed sex. Do you have any objection? You 've grown a lot from 17" to 19" inside Mom womb. However, Mom did not gain any weight. For 3 weeks, Mom stayed the course about 121 lbs. Mom played with you, talked with you, begged you let mom sleep etc. Dad always wishes both Mom and you healthy. Dad had to make apt. with doctor for the pain in dad's spine now.
Week 31, 02/14/2000 Monday, Great Aunt Khai and Quy came stay with us for a while. Mom and you were busy in the kitchen and played card til midnight for 2 nights.
Week 32, 02/21/2000 Monday, Dad and Mom shined a light to you to see if you follow the light or not. Unbelievable and unfortunately, you did turned your head and turned so vigorously that Mom could not stand that and screamed loudly in pain. So it's the end of the play.
Dad went see doctor and got naproxen for pain reliever. Se back in 4 weeks.Week 33, 02/28/2000 Monday, supposed to see Dr. Kirkman, but Doc too busy to see you. Tuesday, waited for him almost 1 hour and see him only 5 minutes. Listened to your heartbeat, and heard your hiccup. What did you do in there? Not because that day is leap day in the century (2000), ?
This week you grew a lot and made Mom in pain all the time. Mom and you weighed 126lbs then 124lbs. She's up and down everyday. Hopefully, you kept growing inside. One day, Mom got hemorrhoid that mom could not sleep at all. Then did you know how Mom cure it?
She stopped drink milk for a day and felt good! What a mom!
Dad had to insist Mom to drink milk again. Poor No inside did not have milk for a while.
Week 34, 03/06/2000 It's 1st day of 2nd month. Mom and GreatGrandMa will fast for a day.
Week 35, 03/13/2000 You and Mom and Dad were busy prepare the room for you. We went to Ba Ngoai's birthday 3/10 in Sumo Restaurant, Orange county. Dad took off early Friday afternoon, drove up I5 in the convertible and got stop by CHP. Then we all went shopping for crib bedding fabrics. we chose a soft pink color. Next day, we spent time cut and sew all together.
Then we all went to buy a beautiful Italian Sleigh Crib. Then mattress, and all the stuff. Changing table was next, then graco Pack and play and Bassinet. You had a full room now.
Week 36, 03/20/2000 Mom& you stayed around 126 lbs. Mom mostly drank milk. More than half a gallon a day. One night Mom forgot to drink milk/water and you force her up and down so many times. Now you can wiggle a little bit and Mom's in great pain.
Week 37, 03/27/2000 Mom & you now weighed 129lbs. Really heavy, Dad called you IC to go with Mom UC, UC-IC.
Mom started having the first contraction Friday morning 3 times per 5 minutes. You might want to come out early uh huh?
Week 38, 04/03/2000 We tried to name you after pretty woman Julia Robert but Vivian has been reserved by Di Nhi. How about Emma (MM) Milenium baby. Other names were Erin, Erica, Sarah (same with Co HienMy 's baby), Shelby, Sheila or Shella?, Emily, Laura, ....You and Mom weighed 130lbs this week. Mom was experiencing "lightening" this week, but Mom had to frequent the bathroom.
Week 39, 04/10/2000 Check what was dad doing! Dad bought Mom Winnie the Pooh and made another web page for you. See how happy Mom and pooh were
Week 40, 04/17/2000 You should be out any day from here. Don't be like Mom, just want to be out early to see the world. We all have an appt. with Doctor Beaumont. Mom and you weighed 130lbs. Just stay put.
Wed 04/19/2000, Mom got a flush during shower. Question came about the bag of water broken? We got a night sleeping first.
Thursday 04/20/2000, Morning, Mom could not get you up and move around. Mom was panicked. Called Dr. and went to the hospital 8:30am. After a thorough check by nurse, Dr. Beaumont, and almost 2 hour walking, Mom's cervix was still 1cm open. Mom went through some contractions though! Some more pictures and more pictures
After all of that see how Mom doing
Friday, some more contraction, but not enough to send Mom back to hospital.
Saturday, Almost an hour of contraction in the morning, but Mom still want to stay home and walk around. We took a stroll around the house, took some nice pictures of flower, morning and afternoon.
Week 41, 04/24/2000 No sign of labor yet, keep waiting. More strolling.
Tuesday 04/25/2000 Aunt Kieu Phuong came from Vietnam. Ong Ba Noi, Bac Alpha went to LAX to greet her and Bac Beta. We took some pictures of 3 ladies 6 people (See pictures at linhtinh/bababau.html under Ong Noi directory)
That night, Mom and you were really fine.
04/26/2000 Expected due date (EDD) 6:30am Mom and Dad were joking about you're coming out. Dad went ahead sucking a little bit and said you're gonna come out to claim your "BU+." Then " pop, pop" the water broke, just enough time for Mom getting to the bathroom. Then contractions after contraction. Got a chair for Mom taking a shower. Time to go to the hospital. Good girl, NO^.
